There is the chance that I may be turning Parabasis into a group blog.
Besides Rob Grace's excellent musings about life on the left coast, I have another once-weekly columnist waiting in the wings (more on him when it is all confirmed) and I am looking into a couple of other leads.
I would continue overseeing the site, have specific days of the week that I am in charge of, and post on top of that pretty much when I feel like it.
I feel that this site has, or rather my writing on this site has, strayed away from its central mission: to write about issues in arts and politics, with the occasional autobiographical segment on my life as a director. What with going to Richmond and a number of life changes, and the fact that other blogs seem to cover specific issues more thoroughly than I could ever hope for (for example: TalkingPointsMemo's coverage of Social Security or Majikthise coverage of Terry Schiavo) not to mention a feeling of politics and arts burnout (with the election and having been in rehearsal since September) I haven't felt up to writing at my usual clip. I'm trying to get back on the horse, but perhaps having several writers will provide a more interesting, eclectic reading experience for everyone.
What do you think?
