Hey there Parabistas,
I'm sure there's nothing you enjoy more than the idea of listening to me mouth off about stuff. Except for maybe the idea of listening to me and Abe mouth off about stuff!
So that's why I decided to enlist Abe to create with me a weekly culture-related podcast! That's right people. Yesterday, using my trusty tape recorder and Garage Band we talked about a\ Chinese film called "Moonlight in Tokyo". Next week, we'll be talking about something a little more accessible, but I thought since we had just watched the movie all the way through ten minutes before we started recording, we'd track our reactions to the film.
So without further ado, here is the podcast (NOTE: the file is rather long, so I woud recommend opening in a new window instead of downloading it. Soon I'll have a streaming audio host, but for now, it's a quicktime file!):

Oh, and since we talk about it in the podcast, here's a picture of the artwork:

All comments greatly appreciated!
Even though it might have been tehnically challenging for this particular endeavor, playing some audio clips from the movie and then commenting on them might be a good way to give a little structure to the discussion as well as give your audience a little bit of a frame of reference.
More importantly, how do we subscribe to this critical public service?

Actually, Dan, I thought about doing it, but they're in Chinese, so I thought that the effect might've been lost. Also, I edited it after Abe took the DVD back to his apartment.
As to the next thing...I'm gonna spend some time trying to find a good site to host the podcasts themselves, and then if Abe and I really can crank one out a week, look at possible subscription stuff.
Glad you liked it!
Isaac

Would like to listen but our LAN line is the same one Mp3s get played on at work... I wonder why they did THAT... heh. Anyway, bravo for branching out in the musical realm.

Cool! Any plans to submit it to iTunes?
