Omega the Unknown

I just finished Jonathan Lethem, Karl Rusnak and Farel Dalrymple's ten issue mini-series reboot of Omega the Unknown.  I quite enjoyed it. Probably one of the stranger Marvel Comics I've ever read, and the way Lethe, et al. develop the themes of loneliness finding oneself socially while also telling a story involving evil aliens from out of space, robots, superheroes and mind controlling fast food is really neato. Also, Dalrymple was given totally free rein to depart from Marvel's in house style. And thank god for that. His art is like nothing you'll normally see as a True Believer.

Oh, also, Gary Panter guest draws half of one issue. Check it out if you get a chance.
