Ruben Boling on the New Yorker Cover

Tom the Dancing Bug creator Ruben Boling has a nice blog post up where he discusses why the recent Barack Obama-themed New Yorker cover doesn't work, and along the way teaches us something about art, satire and design.  Not too shabby. Check it out. Part of what I appreciate about it is that rather than channeling outrage, Boling actually takes the time to explain why there's such a serious gap between the artist's intent w/r/t the New Yorker cover and how it was received.
