is... pretty good. Light, funny, enjoyable, good location scouting. Plays with some interesting themes and (sort of) explores them. Very well acted by everyone except ScarJo, who continues to be a talent vortex. Really, the best thing the film could do to get better would be replace her with a talking potted plant or... perhaps... a muppet. Still, I'd go gay for Javier Bardem, and Penelope Cruz walks on camera goes "hey, nice movie you have here... mind if I take it?" and proceeds to walk away with the rest of the movie. Seriously, she's remarkable, even in English (which has, in general, been her achilles heel as an actress). The movie goes from good to great when she comes in, and then goes back to good when she leaves.
