Namely, the Teachout-Appel kerfuffle. I take Teachout's side on this one. It's not being a poseur it be literate, intelligent and articulate about matters that one is discussing. Not to mention, Terry's point about seeing one's work brought to life is a good one. Live performance is making the word flesh.

Isn't that the point of live performance? To take something on a page, something intangible and bring it to life? Put flesh on bone? Hmmmm. That's always how I've seen it, that's what makes it exciting.
