Ah! Thanks for airing it out for me.

I do have to say, though, Bill Ivey's comment in NYTimes ("he expected that the job would mainly involve coordinating the activities of the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Institute of Museum and Library Services “in relation to White House objectives.") didn't sound like an "arts czar" position--it sounds like he's still shut out of economic policy, health care policy, etc.

Of course, the phrase "White House objectives" leave a lot of room, but to what degree is this a policy position, and to what degree is this a bureaucratic position?


I think time's gonna tell on that one.
