I'd be surprised if Time wasn't being extremely careful with who's writing their articles and what the sourcing is. One of the amazing effects of the last year or so, is that the story has become how things are reported, and not what is reported.

The crux of the entire Valerie Plame affair is: "Expert calls Bush a liar; is attacked for it in an illegal way." Headlines since then have been "What is the right of anonymity?" and "Reporter's sourcing comes into question."
