John Branch

It's a pity no one else tried to answer this. Christian theology doesn't make a lot of sense to me, nor do I know much about it. But I would've thought that Adam and Eve's defiance of God and their casting out from Paradise were precisely what constituted the fall from grace. What's more, I don't understand what that guest blogger was getting at (though I read only Isaac's extract, not the linked article). Does he/she mean to suggest that in Paradise, there was no suffering at all, not even pain from a stubbed toe? And in any case, what does it matter, given that we don't live in that world?
