Yeah, censorship and pornography charges are probably the least of Henson's problems right now. He's also being investigated by child protection and sex crime divisions of the local police. His subjects are being rounded up and interviewed. Others have posted their own testimonials about Henson's methods and character (all positive, if I'm not mistaken).

Does the acumen of an artist take precedence over the "consent" of a 12-year old? I'm not so sure. I have my own thoughts ...

I haven't seen anyone talking about that Isaac, though the furore has been hard to track and I'm certainly ignoring the troll reactions in the tabloids. The major issue of concern in everyone's minds is the possible laying of charges against Henson and the police raids on galleries. One Sydney gallery has put a Henson nude next to a Boyd painting in their front window. And good on them.

As far as I know the police are still visiting galleries, not in Australia, perhaps, but they are visiting them looking for flap-books, and stored material.

It is a serious issue illustrating a problem with Australian mechanisms for responding to NCMEC, INHOPE & IWF referrals.

Australia is in dialogue with itself.

The reason the fiasco has shifted to airlines in the USA & the EU, overseas galleries, and anti-CP coalitions, is because of the confusion thus far in Australia.

Generally,

justice.gov people are saying that the benefits from working with the Australian Federal Police is a measured output, and the benefits from calling it a day, is also a number. Option B has support, it has one other advantage, it is being put on the table as an possible idea.

One other thing,

nobody, who is an alien, has a right to be in the USA, issues of trade are also sovereign, they can decide if X can sell steel or maple syrup or *anything* and Henson isn't selling oil.

The initial hit will be on 'young girl agencies'. I know that is going to happen, it isn't even connected with Henson, there will be alerts on agencies and U18 models in the USA. I know so much.
